Mark Hutker Lecture Recap
March 08, 2013 at 12:17 PM
If you missed out on the Mark Hutker Lecture on February 18th, you missed a good one! More than 75 members of the Eastern Section community including AIANC Eastern Section members, East Carolina University students from Construction Management, Architectural Design, and Interior Design as well as members of the local community came out to hear a presentation from Mark Hutker.
Mark discussed the importance of building a strong relationship between the architect and builder. He showed examples of this own work in the New England region of the country that displayed an unmatched level of craft and construction to create homes that truely become "Heirlooms to Live In." After the lecture, Mark stayed around to answer questions and autograph his new book, "Heirlooms to Live in, Homes in a New Regional Vernacular" for members of the audience.
The Eastern Section of AIANC is happy to have kicked off the year with such a successful lecture, and we hope to bring you even more exciting events as 2013 carries on. Coming up next in the Eastern Section line up is the 7th Annual Eastern Section Scholarship Golf Outing on April 25th as well as a full day CE Event in the month of May. We will also be sending out information about the 2013 Eastern Section Awards in the end of March!
Thanks to everyone that came out to the Mark Hutker lecture, we'll see you at the next one!
